i have new pads and rotors on my '95 GS-R, as well as a new master cylinder.

lately i noticed when i press the pedal hard, there is a "grinding" or "scrubbing" noise from the front brakes. i can feel some tension in the brake pedal too.

what could this be? does it sound like a sticking caliper?

 

you have to brake the pads in at first, so don't brake hard with them for the 1st couple of hundred miles.

 

hmm..i have about 400 miles on them already. i never heard of breaking them in much longer than that

 

so it started after 400 miles?

 

could be a sticking caliper. I had this problem on my old car. It's like a squealing when braking but you also hear it sometimes without usining the breaks and turning.

 

yeah it started recently. but it only happens when i apply full/hard pressure to the pedal. i hope it's not the caliper ($$$)

your welcome. Check that out cause it can destroy your rotor so then you will be paying for a pad, caliper if dammaged, and a rotor.
