oh yeah another ls v/tech ?

Default oh yeah another ls v/tech ?

is a b16a head from the 88-91 dohc vtec engines a good head for a ls vtec or only the siR head? its a 98 b18 ls motor.

It's the most common head to use. It works just fine.

Most of the 88-91 B16A heads are from SiR's, with a smaller portion from Integra XSi's and RSi's.

hey if i made my ls into a ls/vtec how much hp will that bost me too..

If i where to swap my engine, my enigine only has 31,000 miles, for a GSR engine what kind of miles would i be looking at.

if i where to just sell my enigne what kind of price range would i be at.

Engines go for different prices according to location....

I don't know enough about ls/vtec to answer what kind of gains you might get.

Power output of an LS/VTEC hybrid is dependant on the parts used to build it.

I wouldn't use a head that old unless you plan on rebuilding it.

Sport Compact Car put a VTEC head (b16a i think) head on a LS block and got 26 extra hp to the wheels. Check it by searching for it. I think it was also using stock header and exhaust.

Not to mention you'll need to upgrade the stock LS bottom end to rev to 8k safely.

you should also bump up compression for the vtec to work properly too.
and ls vtech is a gsr motor with out the compression is it not
