GSR CV Axle Replacement?
Hey anybody that can help me please.
I have a 1995 GSR and my tranny is leaking. Im filling it every month its leaking so much. I believe it is the passenger side axle seal where the axle enters the tranny. The fluid appears to be dripping slowly from the bottom. If im going to remove the axle I mind as well replace it as its only $60 at local auto parts store. The seal from honda is about $8 I hear its easy to put in but I have never replaced a CV axle. I was thinking about just getting a helms manual or haynes or something but if I dont need to buy it that would be nice. Anybody have tips or hints or a link to where I can see how its done? I woudl rather do it myself in my own garage to save $$$. Any help would be great thanks!

I would highly suggest buying a helms manual either way...it is a very useful thing to have around the garage. As for the procedure itself, look at the first few steps on this engine swap. http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b18cswap/swap.php

i had the same issue when i 1st did my swap.. its easy.. just like changing the axle.. take off your axle nut, pop off wheel, take off your lower fork, remove the cotter pin and bolt on the balljoint, use a BFH and smack it, it should come loose, everything should be self explanitory at this point .. just use a screwdriver to pop the gasket out. that was a great fix for me.. no more Honda MTF by the cases sitting in my hatch. good luck.
