Grounding Wires
Do grounding wire kits, such as this one:

Do they make any difference?

i am pretty familiar with them in fairly modified ITB's but has far as a pretty stock set up with minor mods im not sure. i know some people who have internal build ups and have used them with good results. they seemed to give a smoother acceleration and all around better electronic workings. they also increased the gas mileage sligthly and had brighter headlights. i guess they aren't too expensive of a mod but if you are still pretty much stock i'd spend the money elsewhere on more noticeable performance gains

The grounding kits do help improve both hp and voltage. Mostly with voltage though, it helps the alternator put out more power to all your electronics, without putting so much strain on the motor. I suggest just making your own though, much cheaper
. All you need is some large gauge speaker wire with some connecters and a box to hook them all into each other and your set.

I'm not gonna spend $130 for $20 worth of parts

I have that exact kit. It looks good for engine dress up and adds more sufficient means of travel for ground current. Before when I would step on the gas my head lights would get slightly brighter, now they just stay that way. Like all the power is getting channeled where it needs to be. As far as HP. Not really...it accelerates better, but that doesn't mean more pwr. I wouldn't buy it, but I had a gift certificate and wanted to try it. So what the hell right? I wasn't paying for it.
Apexi ground kit is awesome check it, 8.5hp minimum, not to mention response time and other great things: http://www.apexi-usa.com/news.asp?ID=62
