help! gears grinding
I have a 97 gsr with a 94 gsr motor. ever since I took the car up to 130 plus on the freeway my gears have really been struggling to go in. I have the clutch all the way in and the gears still will either struggle to go in or will grind. is this my clutch or my tranny that is going or gone. fyi I just did an oil change on the car and replaced tranny oil. resevoir is still full for the master cylinder. please help. teggy is in pain.
Exactly. If it gets worse and worse...where first its a bit notchy, then it gets tough, then real hard then it could be a fluid issue. But if you ran the car hard then all of a sudden feel its tough to go into gear, its probably a clutch issue. If its only a specific gear, look to your syncro.
probably is the clutch but im pretty sure going from 65-130 (NOT SMART BTW) doesn't cause any strain on the clutch. the clutch is only "worn down" when slipping the clutch while shifting. correct me if im wrong
but hopefully everything works out. if a new clutch is in order, then great. upgrade so you can hold more power in the future!

any feedback on that new centerforce double sided clutch. (you know the regular on one side then six puck on the other?.) kinda in a budget so was thinking stock clutch and re surficing flywheel.
