Default getting to the antenna motor

I'm trying to get to the antenna motor in the trunk, but I can't figure out how to remove the trunk panel to get to it.

Can anyone help??

you have to take off the back plastic pannel in the trunk and then take the side pannel and have one person hold it open while someone w/ their small hands reaches in and disconnects the gray connecter. u will know what im talking about when u do it. at first it may seem like it doesn't want to come out, but you just have to play with it. getting sick of the ugly antenna too?

just take out the interior while you're at it!

thanx!
but how do i get those annoying plastic caps off? I tried to pry one off with a screwdriver, but it broke....dammit!

yeah i wanna change the antenna...it looks so cheap! Plus, it's broken. Any suggestions? I need one that gets pretty good reception + looks better than this one.

ahh, yea, it took me a few broken caps to figure that one out too, get a screwdriver or something like that, you might be able to do it if you have nails, and push down on the smaller circle in the center, then they come out really easy.

i did an S2K antenna conversion on mine, came out nice, reception was fine

once you disconnect the gray connector, the antenna will stop all motion, right?

and also, you can plug this back in if you wanted your antenna reception back, right?

oh so that's how they come off! I'll give it a try. by the way, was it difficult to do the s2k conversion? i'm kinda new to fixing up cars so i'm not sure how to do too much yet.

yes you're right. so make sure the antenna is all the way down before you disconnect it!
