Default Gas

Yes i know this is a stupid question but i just installed some new gauges in my 96 gsr and i know i moved the fuel gauge needle by accident and i'm not sure how far i moved it. So i was wondering if anyone new about how much gas is left when the little low fuel light comes on because i'd like to use that gas that i got before filling up again. I really am just kinda curious to know this anyways even if i wouldn't have moved the needle on the guage. Hopefully someone knows.

Well. The light I don't think has anything to do with the needle. I believe the light has a weight in the tank or whatever and when it reaches a certain point the little piece of metal touches the bottom of the tank, completes the circuit and boom, your light goes on. Hence why you can rail a corner and your reserve light turns off.

Anyway, it's like 3.3 liters per gallon or some shiz.

alright cool..i'm just wondering this because my needle is all the way on Empty right now but yet there is no yellow signal light coming on saying i need to refuel and i've only got about 185 miles on the tank. Edmunds claims 330miles on one tank. But i'm sure thats not including hitting vtec often which i don't do a lot but i 'd say i round it down to bout 300miles on a tank. Should i trust that this tank is gonna run me up till atleast 280 miles or what? cause i don't wanna have the light not show up on me and i run outta gas. Sorry i know this is a stupid thread but ohwell.
