Ripped shifter cable boot under car.....
Okay, i'm to the point of pressing that pin out.....and it's just NOT happening. I tried using a 3-way C clamp, a ball joint seperator, and a good 'ol hammer, and nothing works. Only thing I can think of would be to drill it out & replace it w/ a 12mm bolt & nut....any objections??
I mushroomed my pin trying to hammer it out
Ended up buying an air hammer. :rick:

Yeah, i just soaked mine in liquid wrench, wrapped some electrical tape around the bit & up around the top of the shift bar to hold it up inside the pin, and just gave it a few really good smacks w/ a hammer, came out pretty quick, like 2 minutes. I've heard of these little things taking over an hour to whack out.
