Default weird a/c

Why in the world?????????? when I turn my a/c on 1 or 2 on my 93 integra gs no air (none at all) comes out? I have too turn it to 3 or 4 to get some air out of the vents. so I'm freezen coming to work in the mornings but if I turn it off then is too hot (-Florida-)
Why is this? just tough it out?

You mean 1/2/3/4 on the fan-speed switch??

If so, that sounds like either a bad fan-speed switch or a bad fan-speed resistor pack. I think the resistor pack is mounted on the fan housing somewhere, so you have to dig around under the dash or behind the glovebox.

It's #7, but I don't have a '93 so I don't know how much junk you have to remove before you can get at it...

sometimes you can resolder the wire that will be broken on the back side of the resister pack. That will fix it for a while.
