Default Problems with Automatic Door Locks In LS

I have a 95 2dr LS. My driverside door will lock but only with me helping it go down. It will unlock by its self but not lock. How do I fix it. Like it tries to lock but it wont work. The passenger works fine.
thanks

well if it is your driverside door, it's a protection thing...you have to hold the door handle open while pressing the lock key, it's to help you not lock your keys in the car...

Either way It dosent matter if its open or closed, and yes when the door is open Im holding the handle open. It used to work and then it started working less like I would have to push the button more and more to try to get it to lock by itself. Now you just have to help it do it, it wont go by its self at all.
