Default 95 ls abs wheel sensor rr

hi, I am a newbie.
my 95 ls abs light is on after moving, I got the abs code 44, its right rear wheel sensor. I was told to get the sensor from Acura dealer. I am in Great Toronto Area, any idea I can get it somewhere else? and the $$$? thanks

I'm sure there's others, but I don't know about shipping to Canada... You'll have to ask.

Did you check the wiring? That code doesn't guarantee the sensor's bad. Could be unplugged? Rusty/loose connection? Cut wire somewhere?

just called the local acura dealer, Can $207 for the sensor, 1.5 hour labor, Can $132/labor hr. not a good deal, is it?

is it possible that because of the dust covering on the sensor? my tech said 99% of chance the sensor is broken.

I'd try cleaning it first. Take off wheel, brake caliper, brake rotor. It's sitting behind the hub, reading the notches off a toothed ring. Sometimes metal shavings stick to it, since it's magnetic.

Did you check the wiring yet?

Of course, there's a good chance it's actually bad. Buy the part & install yourself???
