Default A/T vs M/T?

ok i know this is a stupid question, cause obviously Manual tranny is better than Auto, but i have an Auto (Doh) with minor performance upgrades, and all the M/T cars i have raced i have killed, now other than being able to change gears when ever you please and being lighter, what does a M/T have over Auto. The cars i raced was a Jetta GLS, a Civic Si, and a CRX, i beat them all, i have 94 RS Teg, its in pretty good shape, no turbo or NOS, is it that those guys just couldnt drive? or does my full exhaust upgrade really do that much?

They just couldnt drive it seems like. A full exhaust will give u some HP but not amazingly speed racer skills. I know MT you get better gas mileage.

They probably can't drive...especially the guy with the civic si. If they actually knew how to drive, they would kill you.

As for the exhaust system, they don't really add that much horsepower to a stock honda engine.

it's not faster than you think it's more of the other guys can't drive. you may have a better 60ft time but they will get the better 1/4 mile time. A nonvtec integra has quite the pull but no upper end power but who am i to say i don't drive a car at the moment

:eh: Stop the bs man. You must have been racing against quadrapalegics, because I doubt you beat any of those cars. Racing in an auto is retarded as it is.

i know the guys, and yes we were racing, and yes they were M/T, well i had a 93 RX-7 for a while, i was racing with that, then i got the Integra, i had no choice on M/T or A/T it was cheap and a great deal, trust me, i beat them fair and square.

A/T sucks power, is heavier, may not have optimal shift points, breaks more, shifts slower etc.
