Default check engine light solved

I was having an idle problem. The car threw a cel 14. Which is electronic air control valve but as we know it it is IACV, intake air control valve (correct me if I'm wrong). I took of the IACV and sprayed like crazy with a carbon cleaner spray in and around and all over it. Black gunk started to come out. I then shook like crazy to get all the gunk out. Then sprayed some more and shook it again until all of the gunk was out. Then reinstalled it and made sure all the wiring connection was in tight and started up the car and it wasn't idling up and down anymore.

If you just solve a check engine light code or have solved one you should post it up in this thread too. This way other members can identify what to fix when a cel appears.

I am also having an idle problem and would like to clean the IACV (intake air control valve).
1) How do I locate this valve on a 94 integra engine?
2) Is it as simple as removing a few bolts as it is replacing the air filter?

if it is the "idle air controller" than what you did may fix it. if not buy a new one, if that is truely what the problem is.
