Default a grinding noise coming from the back

a couple days ago i started noticing a kind of grinding or clicking noise coming from the back part of my car when i slow down and stop. and the faster i stop the louder and more noticable the sound is. i had my step dad stay outside to see if he could hear it when i stop and he said he could. i had a couple of my friends in the car and they told me what it was but i cant really remember and i wouldnt know how to fix it. so if any body knows what it is and how much it might cost to fix it please tell me. thanx.

sounds like the rear brakes, or one of the rear brake disc gaurd.

yeah, probably a worn out or cracked pad grinding on the rotor. It's happened to me before, it's an easy fix with a set of rear pads and a couple new rotors.
