Default tranny or gear problem???

ok, so i've been having this problem since i got to charlotte this weekend. there are a few problems:

when i'm starting from a stoplight, sometimes it doesn't want to go into second. after a put it back in neutral and then put it in gear it works...

when i am down shifting to a stop, it doesnt want to go into 3rd. once again, i put it in neutral position and then try and it goes right into 3rd.

i was trying to reverse out of a parking spot and it didnt go into reverse, so again, like i always do, i put it in the neutral postion and tried again, this time it seemed to go in fine but when i went to back up, i rolled back(i was on a hill) until i tried to accelerate, and then it didnt really moved. it felt like a 4 wheel drive car....but with the front wheels trying to go forward and the back ones trying to reverse. what the hell maybe i put in 4th without knowing....but i drive all the time and i've never done that.

also, last night i was at a stop light and i had it in first, i put it in neutral since the light was taking longer than expected. as soon as i put in neutral,
i heard a short whiiiiir, kind of like a grinding, but not. it wasnt metallic.

I would try checking your tranny oil first sometimes gears wont go in because of lack of oil in the tranny. nonetheless if the gears are grinding everytime you put it into gear then u might have some problems there.
