Default Paint problems

My sister has a forrest green 94 4 door ls and has had to have the bumper, trunk the top of the roof and now the sides of the roof repainted. The paint isn't flaking but looks more like it was just worn off. I'ts gettign annoying to have to have it repainted all the time. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? We didn't get it from an acura dealer, actually it was a dodge dealer but the acura dealer said they checked and it was never in a accident.

I met a guy that had ITR #1078 of 2001, Pheonix Yellow...

After 900 miles, paint was visibly flying off the front end at speeds of 80 or above. The dealer told him it was contaminated at the factory before painting.

Maybe the car wasn't primed well, or just not taken care of well enough. Is she the only owner?

My guess would be that the previous owner(s) never waxed the car and kept it outside.

The same thing happened to me Before I bought it, everything looked perfect. After driving it for a week, there were noticeably little paints gone on the front end of the car.

shes the second owner i think it had about 40k-50k miles on it. The paint wasn't noticable when it was taken off the lot. It looked perfect other wise we would have probably had second thougths about buying it.

Im pretty sure it had the standard clear coat on it. It was pealing off the froint bumber but that got fixed. On the opther parts the clear coat seemed fine.

The previous owner of my car(it's a black 95 LS coupe) had to have the majority of the car repainted due to the clearcoat chipping/peeling off. Acura covered it of course, but whoever painted it did a crappy job on the drivers' side and there's a lot of overspray..I can't really do anything about it though because it's been like that for almost 3 years, oh well.
