I think I remember seeing something that you can stick in your air conditionding vent but I'm not sure about that.

Any tips on cleaning up the rings?

For the larger cups, I use the center console. Just drive normal and there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I just try to keep it Armor All'ed at all times. Seems to help a little bit. Putting a napkin down soakes up the sweat so the rings aren't as bad. You just have to live with the fact that you have a napkin sitting under your cup holder.

Most gas station cups wont fit. I usually put them in the arm rest when Im taking trips. Starbucks coffees actually fit tho.

If it's a 20oz bottle, put the thing between the seat belt thingy and the seat.

As for cleaning, I think the best thing is to take the thing off and clean it like that.

For going short distances, I just put my cup in the arm rest. Fits fine. It won't fall over and spill either
