Default problems with 99 Integra

Hey all :wavey: - maybe someone knows how to fix my problems:

when I accelerate (automatic), around 20mph, there is a weird rattling sound, like someone is shaking a can of coffee beans. its lasts about 2-4 seconds. any idea what it could be?

Also, the newest addition to my issues is that my trunk is stuck shut! I have keyless entry and when its unlocked, it acts like its locked. I crawled in the backseat and watched the latch when i pressed unlock and it didnt budge. :eh:

if anyone can help, that'd be awesome!

the coffee can rattles are probably a heatsheild rattling up against something....

as for your trunk, id have to believe that your actuator is unplugged... somehow... or check your fuses. does the lever next to the seat work? how about when you put the key in and unlock it that way?

The rattle is common on Integras. Take off the heatshield.

I have the same problem with the hatch release on my 99 LS. I checked my fusesa and they are ok. As far as the actuator, is it located in the back near the antenna and looks like a little balck box? If so, I unplugged and repluged it back in. Still no luck Could that part have gone bad? Any help would be great!!

I checked all the fuses and they are all ok, so its not that. I dont have a release near my seat, and i tried keys and remote and I got nothin. Looks like Im in the market for a new actuator. :upset:

I'll check the heat shield tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys
