Squeling rear brakes

Default Squeling rear brakes

The brakes on my sons 92 integra gsr where replaced by pep boys an have squeled ever since. it been over a couple of thousand miles now. Any ideas? They claim that it will go away with time.

They are incorrect. The moxt likely reason for squeeling on a brake job is that they failed to put permatex(that blue stuff) on the shims and back of the brake pads. It does not take any longer to do the job right, and that stuff costs pennies, literally. Take it back and watch them do it right. I would not let them have my car out of my sight if I was returning to force them to do something correctly, never know what they might do

Thanks! The brake job was done about a week before he bought the car. I'll probably just do the job right myself rather then mess with them and trying to bridge the waranty between owners. Good ole' Dad.

Dad, get your son to sign up on HAN! But yea, Tobra is completely correct about the permatex.

pls listen to me,machine the rotor,and put a better pads or oem pads on it,it will fix ,100% for your car,because i am mechanic,thanks,if you use the cheap pads ,it will happened all the times..
