Default got the car DYNO'ed yesterday...

165 hp 116 tq

This is with basic bolt on's. I have an MSD Digital 6, cap wires ect... along with HKS Cat Back, and Fuel pressure Regulator going on next week. It will be tuned on the Dyno with my VAFC. I will post the results. Shooting for 190 hp.

That's not very good. Teg type R's are supposed to be able to beat a lude. Mine dynoed that stock with WAY more torque! Keeping trying, keep adding mods and you'll get to 180 maybe 185 but the 190 and up range I don't see happening unless you get some better cams!

Best time with current setup is 14.9 @94MPH

I have a DC headder and AEM CAI with car sound cat. Ihave all the other stuff going in next week. I heard stock R's are 165-171 at the wheel stock.

If you don't have adjustable cam gears, they are good for tuning the car on the dyno to make those mods work better with your engine. I'm sure you can pull higher numbers than that if you had the valve timing perfected for the powerband you are searching for.

yeah so i think the 180 mark could be reached but the 190 is a bit hard with stock cams

Well, just cuz it dynoes a bit weaker, that doesn't mean it can't take out a prelude. There is still the difference in Weight and Tranny.

But that does seems kinda weak... It's seen some R's dyno at around 170-180 with just bolt-ons. What kind of dyno was it?

different dynos give out different numbers. If I had an r, i would DARE a lude to try me, esp. in the curvies. That is one thing you will never see, A lude beating an equally driven and modded r.

It was a dyno jet. Nothing has been tuned yet. 1997 ITR with 100K miles. I will post the dyno after I figure out how to. I have the chart on a sheet of paper, I will see if he can email it to me.

I don't think 190 hp is a stretch with bolt ons with stock cams if it is tuned correctly.

Some Dynojets are optimistic enough that you'll see 190; however, it's probably the kind of 190 that'll show up as 180 on another Dynojet. No offence.

Bolt ons, Hondata and cam gears on stock ITR cams will get you on the way to 200.

LOL... There's no way to test that theory. A Prelude driver in an ITR won't do as well as the ITR driver in the ITR, and an ITR driver in a Prelude won't do as well as the Prelude driver in the Prelude.

Using H2 rules in Honda Challenge, Corey Jacobs took the championship in '02 with a VTEC Prelude. The championship in '03 was so close between Corey's Prelude and Jason's ITR that it came down to the last race on the last day of the last event of the season. It was a nail biter.

The advantage an H22A has over a B18C is that it'll pull stronger with more torque at its high RPM limit. The advantage the BB has over the DC2 is its wide track, double wishbone stability that allows the driver to make some pretty radical moves on the track.

The issue that holds back the Preludes when competing with ITR and other cars is the fact that development of both motor and suspension parts for the BB Prelude and the H22A motors stopped a long time ago, and quality parts are hard to come by.

I have tried to get Corey to switch from the BB to a DC2, CL7 or EP3 but he is very stubborn.
