For the sake of our further edification, if you're building a super motor, is there a particular reason to stroke a B18 instead of starting with a B20?

Also, isnt the compression going to be to high to run a turbo on a b18 block w/ type -r head?

Its sleeved! Open deck sleeves I installed them. The pistons are 84.5mm.

And heads do not determine if the motor has high or low compression. Pistons do. The head being milled only changes the compression by a few points.

We used the ls because it was a motor that had no home, with a cracked sleeve between 2 and 3. No theory behind it, was just avalible

Check out the pistons. They are flat which means less compression. The pistons and head gasket determine the compression ratio.
