The front drivers caliper on my 99 gsr is hanging up. I have already replaced the caliper, brake line, and fluid. The rotor is straight and the pads are within spec. I have cleaned all the sliders and regreased everything. Has anyone else had this problem, or can someone give me some advice. The crazy part to all this is it only happens periodically. One day it will be fine, the next I will have no pedal feel (the second I tap the pedal the car nose dives) and the front wheel will not turn when jacked up. When the car is cold, the brakes feel fine. As I drive, though, the caliper tightens down. A few times I have gotten a bad shimmy from the brake hanging up when I am simply driving, not braking. After I pull over for a few minutes and start to drive again, everything feels fine. Please help, as I am stumped and frusterated. Thanks.
