Hey streetninja, if you're gonna throw that afc away I will take it (and pay P&P) I am good at fixing stuff (electronics included) and love a challenge!
About the misfire, does it misfire more and more throttle you give it? Or is it constant? Can you identify which cylinder is misfiring?
It could be an electrical issue, by the sound of it the guy you bought it from messed it up a lot, I have been there a thousand time so I know how it feels
Have you checked the PCV valve?

it' s a field sfc/vtec, and from what I've heard they are complete crap and should be treated as such, but if you really want it it's yours, but it'll be a few more days, I just checked with my shop and they can't pull it till tuesday cause they're full now (thank god I called and didn't waste a trip)

Ok, well I collect all kinds of crap (you should see our living room at home ) hope you get your car fixed, let us know what it is.
My "new" 95 teg has a slight hesitation sometimes, its stock so I think it might just be the fact it has high miles.

well I got the controller out, and it's still having the problem, but not as much. I think I was right and the injectors are just too old and over run, but I'm gonna nurse it along and wait another paycheck or two to try and fix it right
