LT6916: Actually ITR heads are PR3-x(x=1-4). Same as B16 casting. You can tell if it's a GS-R hear easily enough though. Intake manifold is different (but easy to swap) also of course..

Typerguy18: No they are not. Not B series DOHC VTEC anyways (maybe B16A is diff but I highly, highly, highly doubt it..). Perhaps you are talking about LS valve covers or something but that's not the only black valve cover.

Nope, never have, never will be. P73 = ITR specific parts. There are lots of PR3 and P72 parts on ITRs. The head is just a slightly modified B16 head.

Since I own both a 96 GS-R and an 01 ITR here goes

P72 = GS-R
P73 = ITR

As for the valve covers... I purchased from honda the ITR valve cover for my GS-R. Both the patterns are the same. If you can find the VIN on it the first few digits of an ITR are JH4DC231.

Geezus, go look at the head again. It's NOT a P73 stamping. There is NO P73 casting. They are all PR3 casts on 4 different lines, PR3-1, PR3-2, PR3-3 and PR3-4.

GS-R specific parts (including the head) are stamped P72 as you said. As I said, ITR specific parts are stamped P73, but the head is not an ITR specific casting.
