Braille Auto RWD Integra placed 2nd at Falken Drift Showoff and set to podium again!
Hello again all!
I thought I might keep you updated on how the Braille Auto RWD Integra has been doing. Since the beginning of the project of converting power to the rear of the Integra we knew we would make some waves, we just didn't realize the car would be so competitive.
We traveled in July to Colorado Springs to compete in the Falken Tire Drift Showoff event. About 20 plus cars showed up. All of the competitors were awesome and showed a lot of interest in the Integra. They all really liked the car, which was surprising since most of the competition were rockin 240's and corolla's. In the end we placed 2nd. It most likely would have been first, but I got a bit stupied in the final round and botched up my run.
Then onto Washington D.C. to compete in that Falken Tire Drift Showoff. With over 40 competitors, this was the largest event yet. Watching many of the guys (and girls) do their runs I was expecting to only finish in the top half. To our surprise we made it to the top ten and then the top five round. Due to a mechanical the car was unable to finish the final round runs, but we would have had a good shot at a podium.
I included some pics below of the Integra. We hope to be at the Las Vegas round of Drift Showoff and US Drift and if we can find the budget we might come out to Formula D in Irwindale (if someone wants to start a support fund, go ahead
)
