Default need different oil?

i switched to mobil 1 1030 synthetic about 15k ago..i use to run castro gtx..i mentioned a clicking noise coming from the cam gears side of the head a while ago..btw i have a moon cut cover..im told now that the clicking noise is probably because i need to use a different oil? maybe 530 instead or go back to dino oil.
im pretty sure i dont need an adjustment..it was done 3 weeks ago by a shop nearby..i know what it sounds like when i need a valve adjustment..more of a knocking noise..but this is like a clicking noise from the cam gears area coming from the head..

I doubt it's oil-related. And if you're in the snow belt, I'd stay on 10w30.

Given what you've said, I suspect the problem lies in valve lash...If the valve adjustment wasn't done properly, it is possible for them to be out of spec already.
Just to be safe, I'd go back to the shop that performed this work and ask them to check the lash again. I know it sounds absurd, but better safe than sorry. h:
