Default mitsubishi truck turbo

Ok I can get my hands on a turbo off a mitsubishi truck 24 foot box truck. I was just woundering if it is worth it for me to pull it and use it on my LS. Im just looking for 4-5 psi at the moment. I check the turbo it has no play or nothing looks the size of a t3-t4 but I did not check cause I was in a rush. Anyways just checking to see if it would be worth it. Thanks

My friend did that and blew his engine in his gsr... but he had like 3 other engines laying around so he just put another engine in there. If you dont have that kind of sources then i wouldn't try it.

No. The turbo has probably had a a hard life...and will take forever to spool on a 1.8L motor.

I'll say it again, forced induction done on the cheap is inviting disaster.

My friend went the "cheap piece together" route with his teg, and 1 day after - the turbo was leaking oil like crazy! turns out the main seal blew out because he didn't know how to run his oil return line :slap:

My point exactly.

Your friend is damned lucky he didn't cook the crankshaft bearings due to a lack of oil. That could have ended in complete disaster.
