Whats up guys? I'm getting a high pitched ringing noise when I accelerate or go uphill. Its coming from the front, sounds like more towards the right. It happens everytime I accelerate, the noise will start, then after a second or two will sound like it "spins" itself out. Any ideas? ~ thanks

If you have an AEM cold-air intake, you will hear a "whistle" when under certain moderate acceleration modes.

Max - Not coming from the speakers. I turned the radio off.

The car is completely stock.

I don't know. I got in the car again to try and pinpoint it. It sounds like something spinning itself out until it stops after a second or two. Any ITR gurus in socal that can help me describe it if I drop by?

 

Im havin the same problem, except c the guy that sold me my type-r put a FEELS EXHAUST system on it, w/out a flex pipe, so a header bracket broke and i had to have it taken in to have some wealding done, i think my problem is an exhaust leak from the wealding...ill get back to you with the answer just email me @ mikew18@gmail.com

i think i know what sound you are talking about. it is intake related...it's not a whistle, but it could be mistaken for one, right? my intake doesn't whistle, but i will get this high-pitched ringing sound a certain times and it doesn't happen often.

i wouldn't worry, unless your ITR's performance is suffering.
