Default Clearcoat degrading, suggestions?

Clear coat has finally given way on the roof of my 94 integra. I haven't
decided whether I want to repaint yet, but is there anything I can spray
on or something else I can do to fill in the clear coat holes or at least
prevent the holes in the clear coat from getting larger?

Welcome to HAN.

If the clear coat has been eroded, the only permanent solution is to strip and repaint.
A coat of wax will help against further damage, but there is no permanent "quick-fix" for your problem.

In the future - should you decide to repaint the car - be sure to properly maintain your new paint with a quality wax, twice yearly.

This is creepy. I was just about to do a search for this topic before posting one of my own. I've got a '95 LS and my clearcoat started going about a year (at least) ago. My deterioration has been on the hood and the roof. I'm not what you'd call a "car person," so it's not bothering me too much. I think it's like going bald. It freaked me out when it first started happening, but I came to accept it after a while. I don't have the money for a good strip/re-paint, and deterioration doesn't affect how the car runs, so I'm going to live with it for a bit. I'm trying to halt it a bit, though, with regular washings (every two weeks) and waxings (Spring and late-Fall/early-Winter).

my 94 teg is the doing the same - it's growing like a cancer across the hood and on the roof (infront of the moonroof). i plan on just getting the whole car repainted, and replacing the hood with a c/f one.

I know strip and repaint is the only permanent solution, but what's a temporary solution until I decide whether to repaint? Anybody try it?

 If you had read my first response carefully, you'd have my answer.

I will say it again.

Keep the paint protected by a coat of synthetic wax - Finish 2001 is an excellent choice. It will slow down the rate of fading and degradation of your paint.

Seriously folks, am I just wasting my time here? :a:
