Default someone help! using touchup and sandpaper

I did something stupid, well I hope it can be fixed. I had areas of my bumper where it is exposed to the plastic, so I got white touchup paint (dealer brand) and filled them in.

The next day after it dried I used 2000 grit sandpaper and wetsanded the areas to smooth the paint out. OK it looks a lot better... the problem is that now the touched up areas around it is really white. What do I do to make it match the paint? Do I have to use clearcoat spray? Buffer???

OK so nobody replied, but I got some more info I'd like to share.

I read that after you sand the area down you have to use one of two things: paint glaze or paint polish. Two webpages said two different things, but they both did say to apply wax over it after using these materials.
