Default timing belt probelm

okay today i was putting in some cams in my 94 ls and the timing belt is loose on the side close to the firewall its like the tensioner isn't tighting that side even tho i tighten the bolt, the top and front side tightens up but that side i can push out a bit which is causing it to skip anyone had this probelm before? tryed searching but don't see anything..help me out

You know you don't tighten the belt by simply tightening the tensioner bolt, right??

If that doesnt work then i would say your tentioner is broken

do they only sell the tensioner pulley in kits?

you can get the tensioner at autozone or at the dealer. Im sure most autoparts stores have them.
