Default Timing Advance question

OK I have a haynes manual that says I shuold have a series of colored marks on my crank pulley on my 95 GSR. Well I only have one white mark. How many to the rest of you have?? See I set my timing advanced a couple degrees along time ago but I used a advanced gun and just used the white mark. Hopeing most of you know what an advanced timing gun is?? Did I do this right??

If you use an adjustable timing light, use the white mark. If you use a generic non adjustable one, you will see a series of colored marks that correspond to ignition timings, 14-16-18.

Hehe yeah...you only see the marks when the car is on with a timing gun.
