Well... Forget that. Looks like my Type-R was stolen last night. The police woke me up at 5:00 this morning. Still working out the details

where was it parked and what kinda security?

 

Apparently they only were able to get down the hill where I live and to the local Texaco station. Fortunately for me right near Texaco is a police station and the thieves were caught ripping the car apart right there in the Texaco parking lot with a bright light and camera on them. The police officer said they were taking the parts off and running them down to a truck the back of this church parking lot. I’m thinking the car must have died on them while they were making off with it. I mean who is dumb enough to park it there? I must admit though they certainly knew what they were doing. The car is generally undamaged. My HIDS, JDM front, ECU, and Honda center caps have all been stripped. The dash isn’t too bad. The steering column is broken, but it looks like for the most part the parts are intact. There are wires hanging everywhere under the dash and it could be started with a screwdriver now. Whew… It could have been a lot worse. I had it towed back to my house where I’m able to block it in with my other vehicles.

 

i hate hearin' these stories. your right though, it could be worse. my '97 itr was stolen right off a military installation while i was in the field. #133 was never recovered. it really burns me every day, to think that some numbnut in his riced out civic is riding around with my baby's heart in it.... probably has altezza taillights and a exhaust tip you could fit your head in too... no offense to people with civics, i drive a '98 hatch w/ls swap now.
