Default KYB AGX Shocks Question

I've had my KYB/AGX and H&R setup on my 97 GS for a couple of years. I have only put about 6,000 miles the car with this setup and all of a sudden the suspension feels as if my back shocks are blown.

The slightest bump causes them to sound as if they are knocking. I checked them out and they are not leaking and the only sight of wear I can see is the bushings at the top of the shock are shredded a bit (minimal wear from rubbing against the the edge of the cup).

Anyone experience a problem similar to this? I find it hard to believe they could be bad already.

How much is your car lowered?? AGX's are only supposed to be used on drops of 1.5" or less.

It's lowered with H&R springs, almost 2" up front and 1.5" in the back. In another forum someone mentioned the bump stops could be thrashed.
