Default how long should it take me....

how long should it take me to pull out my b18b swap and drop in my b18c5/b16a hybrid? i have never swapped, only pulled one out of a parts car after taking it apart over time.

i will have at least 1 friend that has been involved with a swap before.

i think that covers the important bases from the deleted post

depends on how expierenced the other guy an you are an what tools u have at ur disposal. i had little experience but my friends had alot. we were able to put a dohc ls engine in his 89 hatch with two jacks, no engine lift, in about 3 hrs. given if we had a lift it would have taken less, he knew what he was doin. so with some extra help didnt take as long. plus we were on a gravel driveway...it sucked.

one of my friends is a tech at Crest Acura in syracuse, im gonna see if i can commission him

my neighbor has an engine hoist i know i can use, if i can get rid of my parents for a little while i can use our garage h: but ill probably end up using somebody elses.

so really, it should just be pick-n-pull and drop the new one into place....

given u got the right mounts..an that friend shouldnt take long at all. only problem i could possibly see is if the shift linkage didnt match up(talkin about the b16) cuz im not sure about that one. with all things in the clear an ur friend wit dat hoist..maybe an hour to two. if no problems occur shouldnt see it go over 2.5 hrs. im not talkin about wiring it up either. not sure how long that will take. but if u can use the same harness, maybe install a few other ecu items...should take much longer.

its still a b18c block and tranny, the b16 is only the top end... so the shift linkage should make zero difference.... mounts are all the same, too.
