Default How do I "regap" spark plugs???

I pulled out my spark plus today on my gsr and measure the gap and it was off from the .44 that it should be, it was like .5 . I was wondering why my car was lacking power and eating up gas even though I only put the plus in about 7k miles ago.

Anyway, what can I use to make the gap tip back to 0.44????

go to like autozone and ask for that little gaping tool. You might just get it for free. They usually give them to you when you buy plugs.......... or not if you get the non-gappable plugs.

Just take them out...tap the electrode down onto something hard (this will make it bend) and check the gap. Don't tap it too hard...but it's a whole lot cheaper then going out and buying a tool that does the same thing.

it does the same thing if you just tap it. Doesn't harm anything

Aren't they SUPPOSED to be 1.3mm (0.051") for a GSR??

LS plugs are supposed to be 1.1mm (0.043")?

I dont see the problem with it. I've done it to mine after I accidently gapped it too much. It's not like I bang the electrode against it, just tap enough to move it.

Sounds like you just like spending money.
