Default Oily Spark Plugs

I checked my spark plugs today on a 94 LX after I had my oil changed and noticed that the 2 middle plugs were drenched in oil....both right up to the spark plug wire boot. I think it might be the gaskets, but the dealer changed them about 40,000 miles ago. This all just started happening recently because 5,000 miles ago the spark plugs were fine.

My accord currently has 165,000 miles

Make sure the oil level is not overfilled. Or replace the PCV valve and the PCV hose.

another possible cause is worn valve guides. do a compression test to verify

I checked the oil and it looks to be about half a quart over the top dot.

Thats probably it because the oil on the boot looks new.

When i get some of the oil drained, should i replace the spark plugs?

whoa! Too much oil is almost as bad as not enough oil. Hopefully this is the extent of ur problem, good luck. If it were me, I'd get new plugs.

your best bet is to change the sparkplug tube o-rings. make sure you clean all the oil out of the holes. also you should replace the wires once they get soaked in oil the rubber tends to swell. the plugs you can just hose off with some brale cleaner.
