I dont know much but I think that is a civic si engine. ( dont flame me if it isnt ). Is that the engine in there? i need to start reading more.

Well, he did mention the car was stolen and if they gave a salvage title, probably stripped. He got off lucky if all they stole was the engine. I imagine he had an easier time finding a Civic engine for less money. Not a very good purchase though; the main reason to own a Type R is its engine =\

 

b16a2 is a second generation b16a motor.

found in del sol's and civic si's

first gen. b16 motors are in 2nd gen integra XSi from japan and some older model civics from japan also.. but the b16a was never in a u.s. production car.
