Hey guys thanks for taking your time to read this.

Well anyways I got in a small accident couple days ago. To cut the long story short, this guy in his cadillac backed his car into mine. He admitted fault at the spot of the accident, and now he's saying this like I bumped into him or something... Unfortunately, I don't have witnesses but I do have some photographs to back up my case.

He already reported this to his insurance company and if mine and his insurance company comes to a 50/50 agreement, I plan on suing this son of a bit*ch to get my money back.

Is there anything else I can do in this situation?

With my experience in accidents, no witnesses == you're screwed. I been hit 2x and both times it came down to a "i said he said" and the insurance of course didnt give me jack. Weird thing is... I called the police both times and they simply said "Everyone okay? Exchange papers? Okay, go on then"... and thats it. So go figure... sorry to say but unless he admits it, you'll have to eat your losses. Just hope he has to eat more than you.

 

yea thats true, but I did take some pictures of the accident plus his insurance company said they'll find an expert to take a look at both cars.

Will this car inspection have any big effect on the outcome? Because I think after doing a thorough inspection, its pretty clear that his car hit mine, judging by the way the scratch marks are made, but of course this is strictly what I hope the inspection guy will say.

Their "expert" is just some guy who comes evaluate the cost of the damage. Not a expert on motion & collision who can tell who hit who...

Your best bet is to get a friend who doesnt look related to you (ie a asian middle aged woman if you're a white teen or something like that) to say they're a witness. Makeup a story how you got in touch w/ her etc... I dont recommend it just because its so risky but if you got $2k worth of damage there you know...

Hard to say. Basically you're screwed if you play it honest tho
