Depends on if that would be stainless steel piping or not. The ws piping is steel, only the muffler is ss. If you can get the exmag muffler and get 2.5 inch ss piping for less than the cost of the rsr catback, then there you go. If I could get stainless steel piping put in for a good price, I would go with that and the exmag, but that is just my opinion, and that is only because the ws doesnt have ss piping.

60 mm piping is more than enough for a B18B motor. Going to 2.5" isn't going to make you any more power, so you might as well stick with something that bolts on. I would get the Exmag over the WS, mainly because the Exmag has stainless steel pipes and the WS does not.

How much is the Exmag? I wouldnt pay more than $20 extra for SS piping.

I love the WS, its only flaw in terms of power production (which is why its so quiet) is the chambered muffler. Not a big deal for your setup though.

Thanks, www.dragracing.com is where i'm really looking even though modacar.com has the WS for $395. I got my AEM SRI off dragracing.com for like 75 bucks so I was pretty pleased. The RS-R muffler is only $229 and the catback is $464 on dragracing.com but $499 on modacar for the RS-R catback. So I think i'd be better off getting the WS, right now that is. Would anyone agree with the $395 WS over the $464 for the RS-R exmag. I've basically changed my mind, I'll go full catback

Oh yeah, sorry to post again, one right after the other but....could anyone kind of explain the whole stainless steel piping, like advantages and disadvantages? Cause I've heard a lot of different things especially on this post on ss piping?

It's a personal preference type thing.

Stainless steel pretty much doesn't rust. There's no performance benefit per se, it's just better materials. If you buy a good quality stainless exhaust it will probably outlast your car (assuming you don't crash it and break the exhaust).

If an exhaust isn't made from stainless, it can either be plain mild steel or aluminized steel, and either one can come with or without some kind of coating.

Some people don't care so much if their exhaust is or is not made from stainless. I personally am a big fan of it.

Mr. Fatbooty

I am a big fan of the SS piping that the exmag has, but I prefer the Apex'i sound and look more. How do you think the titanium power coat that the WS has will hold up against corrosion? How abotu using a high heat rust oleum on it?
