Default Spoiler install

I bought a OEM spoiler for my 94 LS, I have to drill the holes but I'm not sure what the small white plastic knob is next to the two bolts on the one side. Can anyone tell what is was for and do I need it. Thanks.

Could it be a spare hole for the brake light wires, what does the other side look like where the brake light wires are coming out, does it have the little rubber grommet.
