Default JRSC Question

I have been reading through some posts on this and I have some questions. First off I want to let you know I have an '01 LS.

1) Why do a lot of people say the JRSC is a waste of money for the LS?

I am not looking at building a faster quarter mile car. This is my daily driver and I just want more power out of it. It feels too weak for me.

2) If I add a SC will I also need others mods such as an intake, headers or exhaust?

I want it to be as quiet as possible. Thanks!

1) If you're only looking for more umph for daily driving, then the JRSC will suit your LS fine. However, for those wanting high horsepower from their LS, the JRSC will not fit the bill.

2) You will need an intake, and if you want, you can upgrade your header and exhaust. If you keep the exhaust side stock, you will only be choking your JRSC to death. A 2.36-2.5" exhaust diameter is perfect, so you can get a more practical exhaust to keep quiet (APEX'i WS II).
