ABS pump died
ok so my abs pump died and my mechanic it would be 2k+ with labor and parts so i just pulled all the fuses and am not using it anymore. any benefits or problems if i do this?
I had an acura tech quote me $300-$500 just to diagnose what was wrong with mine. It wouldn't surprise me, labor included, that a new ABS unit installed would run 2K. I don't think there are any benefits to disconnecting the power to the ABS motor. The biggest problem with not having ABS is safety. There are lots of cars made without ABS, but its nice to have...

You certainly don't need to pay $300 just to have it diagnosed. Now if only someone with a shop manual for a '94 or newer car shows up...
