Go easy on it for the first 500 miles. Mine felt softer after the new one.

I can't verify the softer feeling. I got an ACT clutch with Stage 2 pressure plate and it was unbelievably hard to drive...this was also due to the fact that the guy who installed it didn't lubricate the throw out bearing which broke 2 clutch cables...

Anyways, my pedal only got softer but that's because my calf muscle got stronger

Mine was an oem clutch, and I was using the reference since he bought an oem one too.

i just installed a new stage 1 competition clutch and pressure plate and it was harder to push than the stock one. it appeared to be softer after driving a bit...but probably only b/c i got used to it. it wasnt any harder to drive but i have heard that stage 3 or 4 clutches are harder to drive b/c they dont have springs.(its either on or off)
