True. Here in North Florida, the problem isn't as big as for those of you in big cities. My daughter will be moving to Phoenix for school, so the stolen/broken into thing may be an issue.

well, in my country, people were selling civics as if they were integras. for example 96 civic for 7000$!!! i blame the fast and the furious, why? because all the civic owners that i went to check out their car said it is fast... and furious. o wells, to make a long story short, i got a 96 gsr under 7k.

so get that damn integra now!

if shes going to phoenix dont get something like an integra that just screams out STEAL ME....6 of my friends car that live up in phoenix ( I LIVE IN AZ BTW ) have been stole the past year and a half. 4 were integras, oh 2 civic Sis. Im not saying its going to get stolen im just saying more people will be tempted to steal it because of the model and make. I would get her a 96-00 Civic EX....Same features....just less....VRROOMMM lol

Thanks, duly noted. It's going to break her heart, but so would a stolen Integra.

It's true, Integra's are more stolen. But, the majority of the ones that are stolen are modified, I don't think your daughter should worry, that's what insurance is for afterall.

yeah exactly I dont think it will be a problem if the car is going to be stock and she is jsut going to use it for school and stuff. the reason they steal most honda-acura's its cause of the performance parts that are in there. and cause there pretty easy to get in. a car alarm and a couple of kill switches will do the trick if it's to much of a problem.

Yeah, I was thinking a well hidden kill switch, an alarm, and nothing valuable left in plain view. Honestly, the Integra I posted a picture of above doesn't look to be a real attention getter. Probably wouldn't want to tint the windows too dark either, if a thieft can see it's just a stock ride with nothing in sight, he may just pass on it. And if we ever add car stereo, my 1-mile rule should be adhered too religiously.

1-mile rule: never play your system loud within 1 mile of where you're going to park.

1-mile rule +: never play your system loud with the windows down.

Also, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to have a removable face headunit, and keep the bass at a minimum. No huge amps, no huge woofers... just enough to fill out the bottom end.

Phoenix is high theft place, but a base, auto integra is unlikely to get stolen, or less likely. They steal them for parts, the B18B is a fine motor, and with the auto it has never been over-revved, but it probably won't get stolen as they will be looking for 5 speeds. She should get the windows tinted if she is going to AZ, trust me. As far as the miles, my 98 got 112,000 miles in the first 3.5 years I owned it and lived in Texas, 3000 miles in last 2.5 years since moving to Sacto

I think its possible. I had a 1990 accord with 54,000 miles. I barely drove it since it was automatic and i love to drive my integra alot more. Hence my integra has over 150,000 Pluse miles.
