Default TORX Bolts?

I need to replace some parts but the manual says I'll have to replace some TORX bolts w/ new ones. Why cant I use the old ones? What are these TORX bolts all about anyways? Thanks...

i'd just reuse them...they require a special "key" to fit into the star design to remove - that's the only thing special. You can find them on the steering wheel.

Torx bolts are stupid easy to strip, that's probably why they say replace them.

I'd replace them with normal bolts.

Depends where the bolts are and what they are fastening. Some bolts should be replaced like flywheel or head bolts. Some manuals say to replace just because. What are you fixing.

If you are talking srs parts it is a liability issue.
