If you have $1500 to spend, and with a lot of street driving, I suggest the Mugen Lowdown. You don't need to mix and match your own spring combo so it makes your life easier.

I am looking for what the factory spring rates are for a 98 type r. Did i just miss it here?
I would like to up grade my shock and spring combo but i need a base line and am having trouble finding the stock rates.

I believe it is 4.4k (212lbs) front and 2.5k-4.4k progressive back.

I had just seen this somewhere the other day, but a search on honda-tech just spit that back at me..
