Got ZEX...whats next? IM or drag radials??
Hey everyone. I have I/H/E/clutch/flywheel and just bought a ZEX dry kit and will be running a 55 shot. I got a 15.4 without the nitrous and am looking to get atleast mid 14's on the 55 shot. My goal is to break into the 13's. Basically I should only be able to buy one more thing for my car before I start saving for school.
My choices are between a Skunk2 Intake Manifold, which I figured would help out alot when I'm spraying at the track. Or between a pair of Goodridge G-Force Drag Radials which are supposed to be amazing tires for the track. I would be mounting these on my original Acura 14's.
I'm leaning towards the IM just because I would be able to use it on the street, unlike the tires. But, if the tires will give me a noticeable difference over the IM in track time improvement I want them.
What do you guys think? Anyone know or have an estimate in the power I'd gain from an IM, espeically spraying...or have experience using drag radials as well as normal tires?
-Mike

if you dont worry about breaking motor mounts and axles, get the tires... i dont know the specs but when you start looking into a good track tire, the grip they provide transfers power to other stuff which ends up breaking before too long...
