Default Spoiler question

I installed a 3 piece Spoiler, which make my trunk unable to hold itself up when i open it (really heavy), I don't know what you call that thing that holds it up...

Does anyone know where can i buy ones that's can hold more weight? so i don't have to keep on holding the trunk door when i putting stuff in?

Is it easy to install?

thanks,

I think the stock one just won't hold, i need something that can handle more weight because my spoiler is really heavy... but thx for offering.

I call them Actuators (ak-chu-wators)...but I'm not sure if that's the correct termonology...but yeah, they're fairly simple to install...just a matter of a few bolts.

Actuators are electric powered. Its the shock right? Should be one on each side, black in Color.
I dont think its the wing, because I have that wing too. I think one or even both are just shot

I believe they are known as "trunk stays" If your car didn't come with a spoiler (LS/RS) then the trunk stays aren't designed to handle spoilers. When I put an OEM spoiler on my LS, I had to switch to GS/GSR stays which were designed for spoilers. You can get stays at the dealer for about $50/side or you can buy aftermarket stays at most auto stores. Just make sure to get the ones for models that came with spoilers.
