Fog Lights?!?
I have pretty small 30W fogs on my DC4. Since they are circular in form, and discreetly mounted, they're subdued enough..

FWIW, I am amazed that the projector headlamps made it past US DOT certification. The low beams are fine for city driving, but for rural driving, they don't put enough light on the road for my tastes..

[Granted my GTi had foglights that illuminated the dark-side of the moon..:chuckles:]
Anyway.. here are a few pics from a while ago...

i have mine behind the grill of my bumper so you don't see them unless they are on. had it like this with the stock bumper too, makes it look cleaner, plus you get the extra light at night

:chuckles: Seriously though, How involved is this conversion? Cost?
And is it worth it over a bolt-in HID kit [that will work with the stock bulb size]?....
[EDIT] Having searched a bit... it seems like the conversion involves trimming the 9005 type bulb bases to fit in our HL housings, or vice versa... am I correct in this assumption? If so, I think I'll go HID instead; it seems like others have had real trouble with the converted bulbs blowing out way too soon.

i havent had any problems... also did mine in early april... i just got the 9005 sockets from pomansouth and spliced/soldered the connections, got some mtek bulbs in there and i love them... best of all they dont seem to bother other drivers INCLUDING POLICE so i have brighter lights and dont have to worry about the bs that comes with it.
